Oakbrook Regional Archaeological Park

Located at 3290 Lang Ranch Parkway in Westlake Village, Oakbrook Regional Archaeological Park is a 400-acre historic site preserving one of the most significant concentrations of Native American cultural resources in the Conejo Valley. The area was once home to a Chumash village known as Sap’wi and contains numerous archaeological features, including bedrock mortars, rock shelters, and pictographs, reflecting thousands of years of habitation.

Located within the park, the Chumash Indian Museum offers exhibits on Chumash history and culture, along with outdoor features such as a reconstructed village and interpretive trails. The site is officially recognized as Ventura County Historical Landmark No. 90 and City of Thousand Oaks Historical Landmark No. 5, acknowledging its importance as a protected archaeological and cultural resource.
